Mr. Forehand started the company with only four agents and instilled in them a sense of honesty and a desire to do the right thing. These values live on today within our company and continue to guide us in every relationship.

In 1952, James B. Forehand, Jr. began his career with the company as a real estate broker. The company continued to grow over the coming decades, and so did Lynchburg, as Jimmy Forehand, Jr. ventured into new residential developments. His years of experience in real estate building and development, along with his numerous activities in the real estate market, have influenced an extremely knowledgeable sales staff.

Forehand & Company made two great changes in the mid 80’s. In 1985, the company moved to a beautiful new building on Langhorne Road in the heart of Lynchburg. This central location has proven to be a fantastic setting to serve all of our clients in the Lynchburg area. And in 1986, the company began its association with the national real estate firm Coldwell Banker, and has since been known as Coldwell Banker Forehand & Company. This relationship has given our company an array of programs designed to enhance our abilities and an extensive national exposure to reach other market areas.
